Jacques,
Yvette had a lovely memorial service. I saw members of the staff
I hadn't seen in years. John Stepney, Don Sturges, Huey Tibbs, Marcia
Cambric, Mack (LASR's courier), Reginia Stafford. Valerie took pictures.
Maybe she will send you a picture.
Thanks for keeping us all informed.

Subject: More details on Yvette McLean
Jacques,
Sorry for the delay in getting more information to you. One last
time - please pass this on.
I finally was able to get more information this morning on Yvette.
Cause of death was a sudden heart attack. Apparently she had a back
door gate locked and the main door opened and a neighbor called the
police because of the odor. She was found sitting at her kitchen table.
The week before, Yvette had a very serious asthma attack at her job
and was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she stayed for a week.
She was released from the hospital on Wednesday, August 20 and her
close friend Henrietta Mitchell told me this morning that she was
feeling much better.
Memorial Service
Saturday, Sept. 6 - 3:00-4:30pm

Jacques,
Here are a couple of pictures
taken during Yvette's visit to Maryland for your LASR website. One
is taken in Annapolis and the other is, obviously, having breakfast
and bonding with our poodle, Sidra, in our previous Bowie house. Yvette
visited with us one summer for a long weekend and we had a great time
taking her around the Chesapeake and eating crabs, and sight-seeing.
She was always smiling and fun to be with.
All of our memories of Yvette are happy ones; she's a great lady.
Thanks,
Judy

Its my sad duty to tell you that Yvette McLean, secretary to John
Simpson, was found dead in her apartment this past Monday (Aug. 25)
of an apparent heart attack. I've talked to her daughter Angela, and
she will contact me when the funeral arrangements are made.
